In 1911 one of the worst accidents in New York history happened. Called the "Day it Rained Children," this event forever changed the laws and protections we have for our most vulnerable workers. Download and read a collection of newspaper articles formed into one story that talks about how over 140 women and children died on the job a mere 30 minutes before closing time.
This activity is NOT REQUIRED but available as extra credit. Download, color and label the political map of Europe. Be sure to pay attention to the specific countries and bodies of water you are being asked to label and color. If you are having trouble downloading and/or printing this map, you are also welcome to download another map from the internet, as long as, you still label and color the required countries and bodies of water.
